Who we are

Morning Pasture is operated by Hybrid Focus Consulting ("we", "us", "our"). Hybrid Focus Consulting is the data controller for the personal information collected through Morning Pasture — meaning we determine how and why your data is processed. You can reach us at hello@morningpasture.app.

Information we collect

When you use Morning Pasture, we collect the information you provide directly: your email address and name when you create an account; your answers to the onboarding quiz (including how you describe your faith journey and what you're seeking); what you share in daily sessions; and your journal entries and written reflections. We also store session usage data, such as how many sessions you've used in a month and your purchase history.

How we use your information

We use your information to personalize your experience — choosing Scripture, reflections, and prayers shaped around what you've shared and the season you're in. Your quiz responses and daily inputs are sent to an AI model to generate your personal devotional response. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your journal entries for advertising.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to create your account, provide the devotional service, and manage your subscription and session balance.
  • Consent — for the personal and spiritual details you choose to share in the quiz, sessions, and journal, which you provide voluntarily and can delete at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent fraud, and improve the app.
  • Legal obligations — where we must retain or disclose records to comply with the law.

Data storage, security, and retention

Your data is stored securely in our cloud database with row-level security, so only you can access your own profile, sessions, and journal entries. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls. We retain your data for as long as your account is active; when your account is deleted, your personal data is permanently removed or anonymised, except where we must keep records to meet legal obligations.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the app:

  • Cloud database & authentication — stores your account, quiz responses, sessions, and journal entries.
  • Stripe — our payment provider, which processes payments, manages subscriptions, and handles tax calculation and invoicing. Stripe receives your payment details; we never see or store your full card number.
  • AI language models — generate your personalized devotional responses from what you share. Inputs are used only to produce your response, not to train models.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — where required for legal, accounting, or regulatory reasons.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account and all associated data — including journal entries, quiz responses, and session history — at any time. You may also object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Deleting your account permanently removes your data from our systems. We respond to requests within one month.
